Stained Glass – Memorial Window

by | Aug 1, 2021

Several times I have written of the many gifts given by First Congregational Church, including the stained-glass windows in the narthex. However, I recently discovered that not all of our windows came from First Congregational. Walk into our chapel and you will see a window depicting Jesus with the children (Mark 10:14-16.)

In 1950, this beautiful Memorial window was given by Mrs. John L. Kelly and her sister Mrs. Maud Post, in loving memory of Mrs. Ethel Kelly. The window was made and installed by The Judson Studios of Los Angeles, in operation since 1897 and now the oldest family-run stained-glass studio in America. When COVID is no longer with us, they offer public tours of their facility.
