The Youth Group visited Chicano Park in Barrio Logan. The mural art was extraordinary, and so much more meaningful as we learnt about the history of the artists and activists from our guide Bennett King, a Historical & Cultural Preservationist who has researched Chicano Park.

After a delicious lunch at the historically significant El Carrito restaurant we watched a parade of lowriders. The lowrider community has been involved with Chicano Park from its inception and it was a special treat to see them.
