Holiday Services & Celebrations

Palm Sunday – 10:00 a.m.

Residents of Peppermint Ridge join us for the service, which is followed by a luncheon hosted by our youth.

Maundy Thursday – 7:00 p.m.

The men’s group offers a recreation of the Last Supper in the Fellowship Hall.

Good Friday – 7:00 p.m.

Walk the labyrinth, light candles, and offer prayers during this holy time of deep personal and collective religious experience.

Easter Sunday Sunrise Service – 6:30 a.m.

Meditate, reflect, and experience the joy of new light and new birth as we greet Easter dawn on this morning commemorating Christ’s resurrection. Services will be held outside in the courtyard on Jackdaw Stree, and communion will be served. Please dress for the chilly morning.

Festival Easter Worship – 10:00 a.m.

Raise hymns in joyful praise as we celebrate the new life in our Savior and in each one of us! We also honor people–living or passed–who have made an impression in our lives by adorning the sanctuary with Easter lilies and sharing their names in our Easter bulletin. Communion will be served.

Kick Off Sunday in the Park

Each year, we hold an outdoor service and potluck picnic in Pioneer Park the first Sunday after Labor Day weekend.

Sunday before Thanksgiving Lunch

You are invited to share in a church-wide Thanksgiving Lunch, potluck style. Bring your favorite side dish, salad, or dessert to complement the turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and stuffing provided by the church.

Advent Workshop

Each December, we celebrate the start of Advent by decorating the Sanctuary, making wreaths and ornaments, and enjoying a hearty soup dinner.

Christmas Eve Services (5:00 p.m. & 10:00 p.m.)

5:00 p.m. Family Service

This service will feature the Sunday school children’s Christmas Pageant. This service tends to be our most lively service of the day. Come and enjoy singing carols together, and celebrating the birth of Christ through the teaching of our children.

10:00 p.m. Lessons and Carols

During this traditional service, we read lessons from Holy Scripture, sign beautiful anthems and carols, and light candles to greet the infant Christ on this Holy Night.
