POSITION DESCRIPTION/TITLE: Worship Technical Assistant
REPORTS TO: Worship Technologies Coordinator
STATUS: Part-time (2 hours per week, plus occasional services)

Job Summary:

Mission Hills United Church of Christ (MHUCC) in San Diego seeks a Worship Technical Assistant to run the live stream of our one-hour long Sunday morning worship service and provide assistance to the Worship Technologies Coordinator as needed.  Time frame is 9:15-11:15 am every Sunday, plus Christmas Eve and 1 or 2 evening services during the year.  MHUCC is a multi-generational, progressive Christian community, inclusive of LGBTQ members and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and Troubleshoot Live Stream
    • Test and configure cameras
    • Test audio feeds
    • Start live stream
    • Adjust camera feeds and mic inputs during service
    • Monitor comments on live stream
    • Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during service
  • Other duties as assigned by Worship Technologies Coordinator
  • Serve as back up for production, post-production, and system troubleshooting as needed during the service or in the absence of the worship technologies coordinator

Qualifications/Education:

Knowledge of the relevant software and hardware programs

Ability to learn and use Wirecast and Pro-Presenter

Ability to multi-task and problem-solve quickly and without panic
